The Outpatient Department at Al Khor Hospital offers clinical services to medical and/or surgical patients of all age groups. Our aim is to provide high-quality medical services with the help of the most advanced diagnosis and treatment methods – while making the patient experience as smooth as possible.
The Outpatient Department is located on the hospital’s ground floor and has 21 examination rooms and three assessment rooms. Our qualified staff of 27 doctors, six technicians and five dieticians treats approximately 7,000 patients per month. We cooperate with all other departments at Al Khor Hospital and with the Psychiatry Department.

All the three divisions treat acute, chronic and/or rehabilitative patients on a non-emergency basis.
Diagnostic ServicesWe offer a range of diagnostic methods, including:
- EEG (Electroencephalography) Used to monitor brain function and help diagnose brain disorders
- EMG (Electromyography) - Used to diagnose diseases of the nerves and/or muscles
- ECHO (Echocardiography/cardiac ultrasound) - An ultrasound technique that makes two-dimensional images of the heart for diagnostic purposes
- Cardiovascular tests - Includes various methods such as ABPM (ambulatory blood pressure monitoring), treadmill, stress test, Holter etc. used to monitor the healthof the heart and circulatory system
- Lung function testing
- Urodynamic testing - Assesses function of the bladder and urethra (e.g. in prostate conditions, incontinence)
- Refractometry - Eyesight testing
- Audiology - Tests designed to determine a patient’s level of hearing
- Sleep study
